Art for Houndstooth

Next week marks the opening of a new Toronto design store called Houndstooth. I've been working on a collection of new pieces for this venue, in addition to working with other artists whose work will be featured in this space. Houndstooth will feature the work of Toronto painter and draftsman, Ron Clavier (http://www.ronclavierstudio.com/), and Montreal photographer James Andrew Rosen, whose work can be seen at Gallerie Armatta (http://stillephotography.com/). Thus far, the collection looks something like this:

Gold, bronze & silver leaf on painted wood panels, 48" x 36" each

Graphite & acrylic on wood panels, varying dimensions

Framed photograph, 16" x 24"

Framed photograph, 16" x 40"

Graphite on canvas, 36" x 36"

Graphite on canvas, 36" x 36"

As a whole, Houndstooth's 2011 art collection will demonstrate classical technique with a contemporary edge, showcasing paintings, drawings, photographs, and mixed media works that scream "smart art, smart design." Please check in regularly for more information about Houndstooth's art program.
