A Nuit Blanche Success

The distillery district was packed last night as art-enthusiasts poured in from every pocket surrounding Mill Street. The above photo shows my works up at Engine Gallery, where it found good company in art by Costa Dvorezky, William Lazos, and Martin Ouellette, among others. I was most impressed by the variety of work on display, and by the technical skill and traditional methodologies that continue to impact the contemporary art scene. I was specifically impressed with the work of Ognian Zekoff at Thompson Landry Gallery, whose impeccable rendering reaffirmed my interest in traditional modes of art-making within modern-day frameworks.
