More Garlic from The Tasting Room

This minimalist work would be a precious addition to any food-lover's home. I love how the negative space here is just as punchy as the garlic. This painting would work well on its own, or coupled with the larger garlic painting, seen below. Later this week, I'll create an even smaller piece with only one clove of garlic in the centre of the canvas. These contemporary still-lifes are a prime example of how traditional modes of art-making can be brought into a sleek and modern framework.

Next week I'll visit New York City, where these pieces will be featured at The Affordable Art Fair, along with an onion and small cheese painting. I look forward to exploring the city's art scene, and indulging in its culinary landscape!
